Once you have agreed what type of activity will be carried out you will need to develop materials to see it through i.e. drafting language for parliamentarians and policymakers to vote on or conducting an awareness raising event at your parliament or health ministry.
Here are some examples of materials used in 2015 for advocating at the EU level for the Written Declaration the the Fight Against Breast Cancer in the EU. These can be adapted for use at national level for various activities:
Posters with facts and data to be used inside the parliament or health ministry:
Cards that can be handed to lawmakers in-person or put in their mail boxes:
Fact sheets on the breast cancer situation:
Press release: these should be prepared both before and after an event. This allows you to communicate to a larger audience beyond those present
Sample letter to be sent to lawmakers asking for their support of an activity
